March 1st, Round 1, Big Horn squeaks out win, Rattlers rebound big
This weekend kicked off the first round of the Vegas Ausball league. First up was
team Big Horn v. Rattler. Big Horn came out strong stunning the Rattlers and out
gunning them out of the middle. The game was in hand with the experienced
centerfielders and Aaron Jones smothering any defensive miscues. As the game
progressed, the Rattlers began exposing Bighorn's fatigue. Mitchell Jenkins led the
charge with an aggressive presence and the Rattlers closed the gap scoring several
unanswered goals in the third period. When the dust settled Bighorn pulled out the
win by one point. BH 12.2.74   Ratt 12.1.73
Game two featured the Rattlers battling the young and confident Coyotes. On paper
the Coyotes looked to be too athletic for the Rattlers but the Rattlers experience
tipped the scale in their favor. Plus they already had a game to gel. The Rattlers
proceeded to jump all over the Coyotes and cruised to victory despite a few valiant
plays by Tim Orr out of the defense. Ratt 86   BH 42
Round 2 looks to be even more exciting!
